Crochet Wall Art With Wood Base and Turquoise Freeform Crochet Design
>> I make my crochet wall art pieces using frames and wood bases I find at thrift stores. I love the upcycling and treasure hunting aspects of making these wall hangings!

>> Each base is hand-painted with acrylic paint and sealed with a clear matte topcoat. This yarn is 100% wool.

>> For this turquoise piece I crocheted each of the individual organic shapes using hand-dyed wool yarn and then glued them securely to the frame, filling every inch of the frame opening. I love the texture and monochromatic look of the final piece!

>> This piece measures 6 inches x 11 inches. There is a sawtooth metal picture hanger on the back of the piece. This hanger is original to the vintage wood base. See the third photo for a picture of the back of the piece.

>> My crochet soft sculptures were featured in Crochet Today Magazine! I have been crocheting for over 20 years.
